Winter 2024/2025 Grants

The long-standing commitment of Ukraine RPCVs to supporting impactful projects in Ukraine is more important than ever, as Ukrainians continue to defend their communities against Russian military attacks and cope with the damage caused by the invasion. We’re proud to offer Peremoha Mini-Grants as an opportunity for Ukraine RPCVs to continue connecting Ukrainian partners to needed resources.

Essentials

  • Mini-grants are awarded up to $1,500.
  • The applicant must be a Returned Peace Corps Volunteer/Response Volunteer in conjunction with a Ukrainian partner who has previously either hosted or completed a project with a Peace Corps Volunteer/Response Volunteer. The Alliance will also consider projects where the Ukrainian partner has worked directly with the Volunteer in another capacity (i.e., former students, host families, former colleagues, summer camp cooperation, etc).
  • The Ukrainian partner must be a registered Ukrainian nonprofit organization, a small business or social enterprise that engages in charitable or socially beneficial activities, a school, college or university, or an unincorporated volunteer group with a designated project manager.

Funding Priorities

  • Projects that provide urgent humanitarian aid, such as medicine, food security (i.e., food processing, preserving, or preparation), backup power, and other urgent supplies to Ukrainians in need.
  • Projects that support urgent psychosocial support, mental health services, and training (i.e., first aid and trauma informed care, projects for veterans focused on accessibility or community support, teaching students to recognize unexploded ordinances, etc.
  • Proposals with Ukrainian partners who have not received Peremoha grant funding in the past six rounds. However, previously funded partners are still eligible to apply.
  • RPCVS who have not previously received grant funding in any of the first six rounds are encouraged to apply.
  • Projects that provide support for vulnerable populations, such as returnees, internally displaced people (IDPs), veterans, and persons with disabilities, as well as women, seniors and Roma are encouraged
  • Thanks to a new partner, Families for Russian and Ukrainian Adoption, one grant will be designated for a project that supports displaced children in Ukraine.
